Students in Digital Arts and Photography Learn about photography basics, how to manipulate images, how to create visual designs, and create stop motion and time lapse video using various software programs. The course focuses on how to use technology to create imagery that can communicate ideas and narratives.

Students in Drawing and Painting learn how to create images with various materials. (graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel, ink, watercolor, acrylic, etc.) Students start off the semester focusing on learning how to "see" and think differently. Questions that arise in class are not limited to one answer and a problem that a student faces may have a variety of solutions. The goal for the course is for each student to become comfortable problem solving and to gain confidence in drawing and painting.
